Roger and Me, 1985
I really should have paid more attention and savored the moment. I mean, this was Roger Smith chief of GM at the time. His company built the car I was driving then. Speaker of the House Tip O'neal was there as MC. And I was just interviewed by someone from NPR. Wish I could get my hands on that recording. Well, pictured above is Mr. Smith, Congressman Howard Coble, me and that's my mom behind me.
